Growing up in southeastern Colorado, Cassandra spent the best part of her childhood wandering the vast prairies and canyons on horseback. These experiences started her life-long love of nature, and especially horses. As a child, she was always regarded as the budding artist in the family, receiving a scholarship upon graduation – but life seemed to get in the way for a while. Upon finally completing her degree in Fine Art about 10 years ago, she had found her medium of choice was ceramics, large organic forms, which she showed throughout southern Colorado and northern New Mexico. After another interim period, Cassandra’s work has again evolved to what you are experiencing today, unique stylized animal forms each created with a personal touch and character.
