Connie Christensen creates fine porcelain functional ware. Her style is simple and elegant. Some of her pieces are manually altered after they have been thrown. On other pieces a fine layer of slip (clay mixed with water) is painted on each piece to add simple lines. Connie strives to make pottery that people like to pick up and touch.

When Connie was working as a graphic artist she took a clay class for recreation while she comtemplated going back to school to study photography. The first time she touched clay she knew that someday she would quit her job and work in clay. That was in 1990. She also teaches classes at the Arvada Center for the Arts.

Connie was accepted into the Colorado Clay Exhibition in 1996, 1997, 2002 and 2003.
