She began making pottery after finishing a Masters Degree in Philosophy. The 'philosopher ware' was "born of my existential madness," she says. Etta's mugs reflect her love of philosophy and nature. She combines the two effortlessly to create unique functional stoneware pieces.

Along with being a potter, Etta is a singer-songwriter and environmental activist. She is a Colorado native with two children, ages 16 and 14. The family's home is near Evergreen, Colorado.
