Lynn enjoys creating things and has always bad a craft project going, even at a very young age. Her family went from suburbia to a small farm, to owning and operating an ice cream store, and then running a newspaper in New England. Lynn discovered clay during her junior year of college while out carousing one evening; throwing her first pot on a kick wheel with clay from a slop bucket. She was hooked. Before graduating with a BS in Business Administration she was able to enroll in two ceramics classes. Wanting to learn more, she became a

potter's apprentice for three years at Santa Fe Pottery in Denver, Colorado. She joined Castle Clay, a pottery co-op, in Denver in 1990 where she honed her skills and developed an eye for aesthetics. Lynn strives to make beautiful, unique, well crafted pieces that can be used and appreciated everyday.

The Pottery Process: Lynn Hull's pieces are thrown on a potter's wheel or hand made from slabs of clay, using molds she designed with styrofoam or plaster. Each piece is bisqued fired at 1850 degrees, glazed, decorated, and then fired again in a natural gas brick kiln to 2300 degrees.

Use and Care of Stoneware: Stoneware is dishwasher safe and lead free. It is designed for conventional oven use and can be used in a microwave. Stoneware should never be placed directly over a flame or heating element. Do not put cold liquid into hot pottery or place cold pottery into a hot oven. Do no bake foods in the middle of a piece without surrounding it with liquid. For best results, do not pre-heat oven, instead place the piece in the oven and then turn on the heat.
