Jim Doty and Olga Wolosyn have been married and working together for more than twenty years. Both artists throws, trims and decorates the pottery. Over the years they have explored new techniques, styles and designs for their various lines. This approach helps keep them engaged in the art and business of running a small pottery studio.

The aspen design employs a technique similar to that used in batik fabrics. Wax resist separates the various glazes so they can be placed side by side to yield brilliantly hued pots.

Olga Wolosyn first studied ceramics while earning a BA in Sociology at Seton Hill College in Greensburg, PA. Jim Doty received a BA in ceramics from San Jose University in California. He has been a production potter for over 30 years.
